Materials and Technology

The journal MATERIALI IN TEHNOLOGIJE/MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGY is a scientific journal, devoted to original papers and review scientific papers concerned with the areas of fundamental and applied science and technology. Topics of particular interest include metallic materials, inorganic materials, polymers, vacuum technique and lately nanomaterials.
The journal MATERIALI IN TEHNOLOGIJE/MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGY is an open access journal, this means its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other non-commercial purposes, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint is on reproduction, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.

Special notice to Authors

In the past few years we have received increasing numbers of articles involving computer simulations, with 3D colour images as a result. As the journal charges €80 per page for colour printing, some authors have decided to convert their colour images to gray-scale images. We believe that this lessens both the impact and the clarity of the results.

Since Materials and Technology consistently strives for better-quality presentation and  a higher impact factor, we will be rejecting articles of this type if the authors are not willing to pay the costs for colour printing and we will no longer allow grey-scale presentations like that shown below.
